Weekend Spotlight: June 2-4, 2017, Sponsored by the Glen Ellyn Park District’s Movies in the Parks

Thursday, Jun 1st, 2017 by

One of my favorite things about summer is getting to throw a blanket down the ground and watch a movie outdoors with my family on a warm summer night. This summer, the Glen Ellyn Park District has scheduled four “Movies in the Park” at four different parks. These events are FREE, and new this year, your family can arrive before the movie for a special craft project or activity.

Here’s the 2017 lineup:

  • Wednesday, June 7: “Angry Birds” at Spalding Park
  • Wednesday, June 28: “Secret Life of Pets” at Lake Ellyn Park
  • Wednesday, July 12: “The Jungle Book” at Lake Foxcroft Park
  • Wednesday, Aug. 9: “Sing” at Newton Park

All movies will begin at dusk, and you’ll find them listed on the Go West Calendar, too. Find more information here. Now here are some of the highlights of the weekend ahead!
