Family Fun Night
NAPERVILLE: Family Fun Friday Nights at the DuPage Children’s Museum are designed to give busy families the opportunity to take advantage of its extended hours on Fridays during the school year. The Museum is open until 8 p.m., and visitors can enjoy a full museum experience with the whole family, including a special activity or performance on most Friday nights. This week features “A Night with Leonardo Da Vinci.”

ELGIN: Calling all detectives! There’s been a robbery at the Elgin Public Museum and your help is needed to solve the crime. Kids and their parents can follow the chain of evidence throughout the museum, discovering different forensic techniques during this mysterious science night.

ELGIN: The Marcus Theatres movie chain is presenting a “Disney Enchanted Tales” series on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in February. Up next in the lineup is the 1941 animated film about an elephant “Dumbo.”

Frog and Toad
HUNTLEY: The Spotlight Youth Theater’s McHenry branch is performing “A Year With Frog and Toad” this weekend and next at the Cosman Cultural Arts Center in Huntley. This production follows two great friends, the cheerful and popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad, through four fun-filled seasons as they learn life lessons along the way, including how to rejoice in the attributes that make each of us different and special.
Dates: Performances on Feb. 9, 10 and 11 as well as Feb. 17, 18 and 19. Event details here.
Cost: Tickets range from $12 to $14.
