Trick-or-Treat Hours in Chicago’s Far Western Suburbs, Sponsored by the Wheaton Park District’s Halloween Happening

Friday, Oct 13th, 2017 by

Halloween is on a Tuesday (Oct. 31, of course) this year, and below you will find a list of the official or “suggested” trick-or-treat times in villages, cities and towns in the area. If your town isn’t on this list — or if you have info on the towns I couldn’t track down for 2017 — please email me at editor@gowestyoungmom.com, and I’ll be glad to add it!

This list is brought to you by the Wheaton Park District, which is hosting a Halloween Happening in Wheaton on Friday, Oct. 20, at its Community Center, located at 177 S. Blanchard Street. The event kicks off at 5 p.m. and runs until 7:30 p.m. Halloween Happening features entertainment such as strolling magic by Jason Kollum, a costume parade, an airbrush tattoo station and an interactive “batastic” exhibit from the folks at Lincoln Marsh Natural Area. There is also a “Trick or Treat Trail” featuring friendly fictional characters who greet kids as they wind their way through the building and outdoors, a “Trunk or Treat” featuring vehicles like police cars, fire trucks, dump trucks and more.

Advance registration isn’t required, and the event is free to enter. But there is a small fee for some events and concessions are available to purchase. If you purchase a Fun Pass you get access to unlimited games and one airbrush tattoo voucher. You can purchase the Fun Pass online here, or call the community center at 630-890-4880 to purchase one. Find more info on the Halloween Happening here. And thanks to the Wheaton Park District for sponsoring this important list!
