Then my friend Danielle at Northeast Ohio Family Fun created a custom “plug-in” that lets hyperlocal websites like ours more easily create content such as guides to summer camps, preschools, daycares and yes, birthday party options. It has “tiered” listings so that we can showcase organizations and businesses that support our websites financially while also including basic, free listings, too — guaranteeing that these directories are a valuable, comprehensive resource for readers.

That’s probably more than enough boring, behind-the-scenes talk for you, right? So follow this link to be taken to the Go West Birthday Party Guide! On the first page you’ll find listings from valued Go West sponsors; for the inaugural version of this guide, those include Cantigny, the DuPage Children’s Museum, the Ball Factory, the Wheaton Park District’s Lincoln Marsh, the Oswegoland Park District, All Things Art Studio and The Party Kitchen. Thank you to those advertisers for making this guide possible!

At the bottom of that first page, click on a category for a comprehensive set of listings based on your preferred geographic region. You’ll find a link for providers of birthday treats, too, and soon we’ll be devoting pages to rentable venues and entertainment providers. Know of a venue, entertainer or business that should be featured in this guide? Or have a geographic area that you feel should be included? Please write us at

Now … are you ready to party like you’re six years old?! Head on over to the Go West Birthday Party Guide!
