It’s going to be another “Free February” in 2017 at The Field Museum in Chicago! The museum will offer free basic admission to Illinois residents on every day in February 2017. Visitors must show proof of residency.

Illinois residents will also have the opportunity to see ticketed exhibitions and 3D films at a special price. Discounted passes must be purchased on arrival at The Field Museum and are not available online in advance. Various options are offered; for instance, the Discovery Pass allows you to see either one special exhibit or one 3-D movie. That will be available for $14 for adults, $12 for students and $10 for children ages 3-11.

The Field Museum will also offer free basic admission to Illinois residents on Jan. 28, 29 and 30. Additional “free” dates for the Field will be released in the spring, and Go West will continue to update the “Visit a Chicago Museum for Free” page as those dates for the Field and other museums are posted.
